Hand held tools
With our hand held heating tools you can weld plastic pipes and plastics of all kinds. Not only is the welding of plastic materials environmentally safer than bonding techniques using adhesives, it is also more cost-efficient and more durable. Whenever plastic components are subject to mechanical or thermal stresses, welding is the safest and sometimes the only method to securely join the individual parts. Our tools function according to the following principles:
- Butt welding:
The diameter of the parts to weld is equal. The walls are melted and then pressed together. A special form of butt is welding by bending: The tool is placed as a cutting edge at the bending point of the plastic plate, which is laid on a flat base. The heated tool then melts into the plate which is then quickly bent into the required position, where it remains until the welding seam is sufficiently cooled down.
- Socket fusion welding:
In socket fusion welding, a socket is used to heat the outside surface of the pipe being welded. A spigot is used to heat the inside surface of the injection moulded fitting. Both the fitting and the pipe are heated for a set time. When the heating time is complete the pipe is pushed inside the fitting, producing the weld.
You have the opportunity to adjust the temperature either electronically or by thermostat. All tools have an anti-adhesive coating. Furthermore we offer equipment like fittings or steel carrying cases.
